Huara Spanish School is a new educatinal project that comes from the experience that the owner gained from working in different Spanish schools is different countries, mainly in Central America, also from hearing students, knowing what they want to learn and how they want to learn a new language. Part of this experience and knowledge also comes from her own personal experience travelling and knowing different cultures, Huara Spanish School is a special place for travelers that want to pursue a passion or learn a new skill while on vacation.
Katterina Cuesta, the owner, is English Spanish Interpreter, she studied in Santiago, after working 4 years there, she decided to work on a Cruise ship. She wanted to continue discovering the world, so she moved to Costa Rica, there she started teaching Spanish as a foreign language, the same she did in Guatemala and Panama where she worked in different schools.
Now she is back in Chile and wants to share her experience and knowledge with new tourists and a great community such as Pichilemu.
Hola, I stayed at Huara for a week of home stay and spanish classes with Katterina and her family and had the most amazing experience! The course that she teaches helps to build your spanish in a great logical sequence and I found my spanish improve rapidly over the week. The family and learning environment was really special with many shared meals, laughter and fun. We did fun activities in Pichilemu including a great visit to the local market (la feria). I highly recommend studying spanish in Pichilemu with Huara spanish school! 5 stars!
I stayed three weeks in Pichilemu and lived there with Katterina and her family. They are all really friendly and funny people. I felt welcome from the first moment and the food they cooked was great! During the lessons, Katterrina managed to teach me a lot, for which I am thankful. She is a great teacher! Now I feel ready to use spanish during traveling. We also went to a local market and two other cultural events in Pichilemu. Me gustó mucho :-) All in all I am really happy that I chose Huara Spanish School and can definitely recommend it to go there.
